Nota d'usoAttenzione a non confondere terrible e terrific. Terrific non si usa mai per cose orribili e spaventose, non significa “terrificante”; si utilizza per descrivere cose fantastiche, stupende: have a terrific time on holidays! passa delle vacanze grandiose! Il significato principale di terrible è “spaventoso, terribile”: to suffer terribile injuries, riportare tremende ferite; to have a terribile headache, avere un mal di testa terribile.
